If your question is about your own attendance, salary or leave, your HR department is the right place — they hold the records. StaffMate only displays what your company's Odoo server contains.
Common questions
The app asks for a connection code
StaffMate connects to your employer's own server, so it needs to know which one. Your HR department issues the code — as a QR to scan, or as text you can type. You only do this once.
I can't sign in
Check the username and PIN with HR. Access can also be switched off for an employee on the Odoo side; if it is, no PIN will work until HR turns it back on.
Check-in is refused
Two common reasons. Either you are outside the area your company allows check-in from — the app will say so and show the distance — or your company requires you to use the badge reader at the office instead, and the app is only for work away from the office. HR sets that rule.
I checked in but the button still says "check out"
That is correct: it means you have an open session. Press it when you leave. If a previous day was left open by mistake, HR can close it in Odoo.
Face verification fails
Make sure your face is well lit and fully in frame. After several failed attempts the app locks face verification and HR must unlock it. Face recognition is optional and many companies leave it off.
My payslip is missing
Payslips appear once your company confirms them in Odoo. If the payslips section is empty for everyone, your company may not have the payroll module installed — attendance, leave and documents still work without it.
No internet at the work site
Check in as usual. The app stores the punch with the real time and uploads it once you are back online. If the server later rejects it, the app tells you why so you can talk to HR.
For HR and IT
StaffMate is an Odoo module plus a mobile app. It works on Odoo Enterprise and Odoo Community, and the app talks only to your server. For installation, upgrades or a walkthrough, write to support@staffmate.app.
Deleting your data
Your employer controls the data in their Odoo server, including your account and any face data. Ask your HR department to delete it, or write to us and we will help them do it.
